With a background in rapid-response for gubernatorial and ballot initiative campaigns, Gordon Li conducts complex regulatory and legislative research to assist clients with message development, grassroots advocacy and crisis communications.
Gordon Li has served in multiple roles with Forward Observer over the past decade. Now as Vice President, Gordon manages research projects while working directly with clients and responding to their day-to-day needs.
Gordon has supported more than a dozen high-profile California statewide ballot initiatives with rapid response research. In the most recent election cycle, Gordon led research efforts for Prop 21 (rent control) and Prop 23 (dialysis clinics).
In addition, over the years Gordon has provided vital intelligence and strategic counsel to nonprofits, trade associations, and large corporations, helping inform their decisions on messaging, crisis communications, and campaign strategy.
Before joining Forward Observer, Gordon worked as an analyst for a California gubernatorial campaign. Originally from the East Bay in California, Gordon attended UC Berkeley, where he received a Bachelor's with a double major in Political Science and Legal Studies. He resides in Sacramento and coaches club volleyball in his spare time.
